“The Impossible” is a song from Mariah's Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel album, released in 2009. “A song like ‘The Impossible’ is very much where my life is right now,” Mariah told Elle in 2009. “Because I am actually in love for the first time.”
K-Ci and JoJo, whose song “Forever My Lady” is sampled on “The Impossible,” recorded vocals for the remix of the track that would appear on the Angels Advocate project. “They do the ‘Forever your lady’ part and it sounds crazy, it's so good,” Mariah said about the unreleased remix. “I was so proud to hear how good they sound.”
