The “Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy” is a dance in the 1982 ballet The Nutcracker. Mariah covered it as an introlude it for the Deluxe Anniversary Edition of her 1994 album Merry Christmas. This special edition of the album was released in 2019, to commemorate its 25th anniversary.
