Mariah Carey partnered with Pepsi during the summer of 2006. Besides writing and recording original ringtones, available exclusively through the Pepsi Cool Tones & Motorola Phones promotion, Mariah kicked off the promotion with a national TV commercial in May, directed by Paul Hunter and created by BBDO, New York, Pepsi's long-time agency. Hunter, an award-winning director of music videos and commercials, has directed the videos for a number of Mariah's chart-topping hits, including “Honey” and “Don't Forget About Us.”
