The 3rd annual VIBE Awards took place at the Sony Studios in Culver City, CA, on November 12, 2005. Mariah took home four awards: Artist of the Year, R&B Voice of the Year, Best R&B Song for “We Belong Together” and Album of the Year for The Emancipation of Mimi. The ceremony was broadcast on UPN on November 15.
