Mariah appeared on the twelfth episode of Star Academy's season 2, which was broadcast live on TF1. She performed a medley of “My All,” “Heartbreaker” and “Hero” with four of the contestants and closed to show with a performance of “Through The Rain.”
Mariah was the godmother of the show's fifth season, which kicked off on September 2, 2005. Unfortunately, she was unable to fly to Paris but did tape a video message from the “Get Your Number” music video shoot.
One the season's third episode, Mariah joined contestants Émilie and Jean-Luc to perform her number one single “Hero,” and later came back to sing “We Belong Together.”
Mariah appeared on the Star Academy stage during the show's season finale to perform “It's Like That” with contestant — and winner! — Magalie, and “Get Your Number.”
