Save The Music: A Concert To Benefit The VH1 Save The Music Foundation returned to New York City for the first time in four years. The annual star-studded concert with performances by Mariah Carey, Alicia Keys, Rod Stewart, Rob Thomas, Donna Summer, John Legend and Joss Stone took place at
the famed Beacon Theater on April 11, 2005, and was telecast on VH1 on April 17.
Mariah opened the show with “It's Like That,” with Jermaine Dupri and Fatman Scoop; later performed “With You I'm Born Again” with John Legend; and closed the show with her number-one remake of the Jackson 5 classic “I'll Be There,” featuring Trey Lorenz.
