The newly elected President Barack Obama invited all Americans to a star-studded event featuring top musical performers and entertainment at the Convention Center in Washington, DC, on January 20, 2009. Mariah performed her classic “Hero,” while also joined the rest of the cast — including Stevie Wonder, Mary J. Blige and Beyoncé — for a performance of “Signed, Sealed, Delivered.”
