In 2012, the BET Honors, which celebrates achievements of outstanding African Americans, honored Stevie Wonder, Mariah Carey, Dr. Maya Angelou, Spike Lee, Beverly Kearney and the Tuskegee Airmen. Mariah was honored by Patti LaBelle, with a touching performance of “Hero” and Kelly Rowland, who performed “Fantasy” with a special appearance by Wu Tang Clan member Raekwon. The ceremony, taped at the Warner Theater in Washington DC on January 14, 2012, aired on BET on February 13.
Mariah performed her single “You're Mine (Eternal)” for the first and only time at the 2014 BET Honors, which took place at at the the Warner Theatre in Washington DC on February 8, 2014. The ceremony aired on BET on February 24.
