In January of 2010, Island Def Jam announced the re-release of Mariah's Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel album. The project, consisting of duet versions of the songs included on the original album, was to be released on March 30, 2010, with “Up Out My Face,” featuring Nicki Minaj, and “Angels Cry,” a duet with Ne-Yo, being sent to radio as the first two singles. A press release confirmed the following guest appearances: Mary J. Blige, Ne-Yo, Nicki Minaj, Fabolous, R. Kelly, The-Dream & Ludacris, T-Pain & Snoop Dogg, Akon, Trey Songz, K-Ci & Jo Jo, and OJ Da Juiceman & OutKast's Big Boi. The project was eventually shelved and most of the remixes are unreleased to this day.
Mariah did include two of the Angels Advocate remixes (“Betcha Gon' Know,” featuring R. Kelly, and “It's A Wrap,” featuring Mary J. Blige) as bonus tracks on her Me. I Am Mariah… The Elusive Chanteuse album, released in 2014.
