After the release of the Me. I Am Mariah… The Elusive Chanteuse album, Mariah embarked on a world tour entitled The Elusive Chanteuse Show. The tour launched on October 4, 2014, with two dates in Japan, followed by eleven additional dates across Asia. The last leg of the tour saw Mariah performing six dates in Australia, as well as her first ever show in New Zealand. “I want to experience the spontaneity and emotion that I put into this album on stage with my fans,” Mariah said on a press release. “I can't stop writing songs so don't be surprised if you hear a brand new song that I just wrote the night before the show in your city!”
Mariah's live cover of the Jazz classic “Lullaby of Birdland” was included on the compilation The Rarities, released in 2020.
