Mariah recorded a medley of “O Come All Ye Faithful” and “Hallelujah Chorus” as a duet with her mother Patricia on her 2010 album Merry Christmas II You. “Many people already know that my mother is a trained opera singer, so I guess it was only a matter of time before we both got onto a record together,” Mariah told Jasmine Dotiwala in 2010. “Doing ‘O Come All Ye Faithful’ and the ‘Hallelujah’ chorus seemed like a perfect vehicle for both of our voices, which are very different in terms of style. It was a lovely experience being in the studio together and I'm very happy that I have this documented for the rest of my life.”
Mariah directed the music video for “O Come All Ye Faithful / Hallelujah Chorus,” from her second Christmas album, Merry Christmas II You. The clip, which premiered in November 2010, shows Mariah and her mother Patricia recording the song as well as family Christmas photos.
O come all ye faithful
Joyful and triumphant
O come ye
O come ye to Bethlehem
O come and behold Him
Born the King of Angels
O come, let us adore Him
O come, let us adore Him
O come, let us adore Him
Christ the Lord
And He shall reign forever and ever
And He shall reign forever and ever
For the Lord God, King of kings, reigneth
Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah
O Sing
Choirs of angels
Sing in exultation
Sing Hallelujah
Heaven above
Glory to God
Him the Highest
O come, let us adore Him
O come, let us adore Him
O come, let us adore Him
Christ the Lord
And He shall reign forever and ever
And He shall reign forever and ever
