“With You” was released on October 4, 2018, as the lead single from Mariah's Caution album. Mariah wrote the song with DJ Mustard, Prince Charlez and Fresco Kane. “When I saw my name among Mariah Carey and DJ Mustard, I teared up,” Fresco Kane said about their collaboration. “She's such a legend. It's like working with Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston. She's done so much for music. It's surreal. I'm still in disbelief.”

The music video for “With You” was directed by Sarah McColgan and filmed at the Villa de León, a historic mansion in the Castellammare neighborhood of Malibu, CA. “I wanted to create a video with Mariah that felt reminiscent of iconic moments in fashion photography,” the director said about the video. “Mariah and I talked about this particular issue of Life magazine with photographs of Marilyn Monroe in private moments, and rarely seen moments with her, when she was just doing ordinary things like reading a newspaper or wearing a chunky sweater. I think that ultimately you want those glimpses into the honesty in who that person is and really creating a portrait of her in her intimate moments.”
