Allure's self-titled debut album was released on April 22, 1997, on Mariah's record label, Crave Records. “It's really strange, but sometimes you see these people that are so talented and you wonder, ‘How can these people not be on the radio, or not be big stars already?’ I personally know so many people like these, and that's one of the reasons that I was interested in having my own label,” Mariah told the Associated Press. “The first release from my label is a group called Allure. They're four girls and they're really beautiful and talented. I did some work on the album and the first single is called ‘Head Over Heels’ and it's featuring Nas.”
Mariah wrote, produced and was in charge of the vocal arrangement of the group's debut single, “Head Over Heels,” while also making a cameo appearance on the song's music video. Allure's biggest hit was their cover of Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam's “All Cried Out,” which featured 112 and was also produced by Mariah. Finally, another track on the album was “Last Chance,” written by Mariah and Cory Rooney.

Allure
Keep it raw
Hey yo the bridge keep rocking
We're coming through, bottles popping
Allure when your album's dropping
The place is packed
Many faces, there's some I know and some know me
From buying cases, cash stacks, shorties peeping
Is she Puerto Rican or half black
Puff puff give I need to live
Please pass that so I could zone
Maybe shoot a jewel in baby girl's dome
It's a crazy world let me drive you home, let's go
By the way the name is Esco
The platinum range makes your man know we wet those
If he front I got the tech close
To you much respect goes for going through
Had to put it on you Allure you
You gotta leave I'll call you
It's been real
Boy I can't understand it
See I've never really felt
Like I do when I'm around you baby
And I just can't explain it
But I'm feeling so high
And I just can't deny it's on you
Tell me you want my love
Baby please don't deny
What you're feeling inside
Say you've been thinking of holding me, touching me
Feeling my every need
Head over heels
It seems so real
It feels like I'm falling in love
I'm lost inside
Of desire
Oh baby can't you see
I'm falling for you
Head over heels
Baby baby I'm longing
Just to have you to myself
I don't want nobody else
Baby my body's calling
Won't you come get my love
Because I really need you so much
So much in common
I know you like the way I act
You been around real cats all your life
Since way back
You still got it
'Cuz you was turned out once
Guess you learned ain't no future
With them burnt out stunts
Left the hood to get your own things
With home team
Pushing through
Watch your chrome gleam
Yeah you probably heard that my pipe game's tight
Rocking VVS stones, powder blue whips
With egg head lights
Center weed getting all in your weave
I put out the trees
And crack the moon roof only for you to breath
You get an extra set of keys
I tell the world
While I'm out on tour
Keep your hands off my girls Allure

All alone on a Sunday morning
Outside I see the rain is falling
Inside I'm slowly dying
But the rain will hide my crying, crying, crying
And you
Don't you know
My tears will burn the pillow
Set this place on fire
Cause I'm tired of your lies
All I needed was a simple hello
But the traffic was so noisy that you could not hear me cry
(I) I gave you my love in vain
My body never knew such pleasure
My heart never knew such pain
(And you) You leave me so confused
Now I'm all cried out — over you
(Crying over you)
Never wanted to see things your way
Had to go astray
For why was I such a fool (Why was I such a fool)
Now I see that the grass is greener
Is it too late for me to find my way home
How could I be so wrong
Leaving me all alone
Don't you know
My tears will cause an inferno
Romance of these flames
Why should I take the blame
You were the one who left me neglected (So sorry baby)
Apology not accepted
Add it to the broken hearts you collected
(I) I gave you all of me (Gave you all of me)
How was I to know
You would weaken so easily
(I) I don't know what to do (I don't know what to do)
Now I'm all cried out (All cried out) — over you
(I) I gave you my love in vain
My body never knew such pleasure
My heart never knew such pain
(And you) You leave me so confused
Now I'm all cried out
Now I'm all cried out — over you

This is my last dance with you
This is my only chance to do all I can do
To let you know that what I feel for you is real
This is the last chance for us
This is the moment that I just (cannot let) end
Before I know that there's a chance we're more than friends
So don't let go (Don't let go) make it last all night
This is my last chance to make you mine
I kept my feelings so deep
I kept my dreams of you and me somewhere inside
Although I prayed that you would see it in my eyes
But this is my last chance to say
What's in my heart before you stay out of my life
And then you'll understand the way I feel inside
So hold me close cause it feels so right
This is my last chance to make it mine
Make this dream reality
So close and you're so far
Gotta find a way into your heart
Gotta speak my mind
Gotta open up to you this time
I can't let you slip away tonight
This is my last dance with you
This is my only chance to do all I can do
To let you know that what I feel for you is real
So don't let go
Just make it last all night long
This is my last chance to make you mine
To make you mine
