While making Frito pie, Mariah reveals to co-host Bryan Safi that the “Corny Like Fritos” lyric from her hit single “Infinity” is not about Nick Cannon, but about her long lost Italian lover. The episode premiered on May 6, 2015.
Mariah linked up with Funny or Die to head up Mariah's Holiday Sketchtacular. The seven-episode series, shot in New York, features Mariah preparing for the holidays with the help of FOD regular Bryan Safi, who teams with her for a Christmas cooking show and helps her audition Santa Clauses for her concert series. Guest stars include Jordan Klepper (The Daily Show) and Nick Swardson (The Ridiculous 6).
“I loved collaborating with Funny or Die on this series of holiday-themed sketches,” Mariah said in a statement. “These videos are fun, festive and full of holiday cheer, and I had an absolute blast making them.”
“We at Funny Or Die feel strongly that you haven't celebrated the holidays until you've listened (preferably in one sitting) to Merry Christmas, Mariah Carey's landmark album from 1994,” FOD president of production Mike Farah said in a statement. “So when given the opportunity to re-team with Mariah, the indisputable Queen of Christmas, on a holiday inspired sketch comedy series, we thought it was the perfect and hilarious addition to our go90 channel.”
The series launched December 15, 2015, on Verizon's go90 video app.
