What was it like getting to shoot with the twins?
We had a blast on-set. They're really such troupers. To use my love of them in my work is so rewarding.
What are some of your favorite things to do with your family at Christmastime?
We have our traditions, like rolling in the snow and jumping in hot tubs — we're all kind of daredevils. We also sit and play games, like Heads Up! or Taboo. For the past four years I've been trying to make my traditional Christmas meals, like my dad's recipe for linguine and clam sauce. I like to make sure Monroe and Rocky come in and cook with me.
What traditions do you hope stay with the twins as they get older?
Just spending time with their families. Us spending time together is more than enough as my gift for Christmas.
The twins are going to be teenagers next year…
Don't rush all of our lives! They're still 12.
What is it like watching them grow into young adults?
It's actually really beautiful. I mean, it's difficult not to spoil them, but they're good, nice kids. They're kindhearted, and I really enjoy being around them and watching them grow up into the people that they're ultimately going to become.
