Elizabeth Arden introduced the new feminine fragrance from Mariah Carey, called Dreams, in April 2012. With aromas of warm patchouli, Tonka bean, and Madagascar vanilla to form the fragrance's base, Mariah topped off her creation with hints of honeysuckle, freesia, lily of the valley, salted caramel apple, star anise, bergamot, and toasted almonds. “The process of developing a fragrance is exhilarating and it takes me to another place within my creative self, which is why I enjoyed creating Mariah Carey Dreams,” Mariah said. “I humbly call myself a ‘perfumer in training’ because I love it so much — almost as much as I love making music. I have the utmost respect for the perfumers because they have the ability to combine a few simple scents into a classic and exciting fragrance.”
Plus, Mariah took her creative process one step further by designing the bottle, which represents a champagne flute, with its curves and slim packaging and with decorative butterflies wrapping around the bottle.
