“I'll Be Lovin' U Long Time” is a song from Mariah's E=MC² album which she produced with DJ Toomp. “This is one of the last songs I wrote for this album,” Mariah explained in 2008. “I thought, ‘Let me just make this a carefree record.’ It's kind of a party record to me. It's just like not caring too much about anything else that's going on except you living in the moment.”
On July 1, 2008, “I'll Be Lovin' U Long Time” impacted US radio as the album's third single. The song peaked at number fifty-eight on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming Mariah's thirty-eighth chart entry.
T.I. provided a verse for the official remix of “I'll Be Lovin' U Long Time”, released July 1. An additional remix, featuring LL Cool J, became available in early August. Instead of commissioning dance remixes, Mariah partnered with Indaba Music, an online community for aspiring and established producers and artists, for an online contest. The complete stems of the song were made available so that both professionals and amateurs would have the chance to remix the song. The Progressions, from Riverside, CA, were chosen as the winners of the contest.

For the “I'll Be Lovin' U Long Time” music video, which premiered on BET on July 3, Mariah worked with director Chris Applebaum for the first time. Filmed in Hawaii, the video features Mariah swimming with dolphins, dancing with friends and enjoying the island.
