MTV Unplugged

Mariah Carey's MTV Unplugged concert was taped live at the Kaufman Astoria Studios in New York on March 16, 1992. After its massive success, Sony decided to release it as an EP on June 2, 1992 as well as an accompanying VHS titled "MTV Unplugged +3" which featured Mariah's whole concert as well as the music videos for "Make It Happen," "Can't Let Go" and the 12" Club Remix of "Emotions."

Mariah's cover of "I'll Be There," originally recorded by The Jackson Five, was performed with back-up singer Trey Lorenz and released as a single on May 26, 1992. The song became Mariah's sixth number one hit on the Billboard Hot 100, staying at the top for two weeks.
