The-Dream's 2009 album, Love vs Money, features Mariah as a guest vocalist on the song “My Love.” It was released as the album's second single on February 24, 2009, peaking at number eighty-two on the Billboard Hot 100. “I wrote that record and immediately thought, ‘This is a great record for me and Mariah, if she wants to do it.’ ” The-Dream explained. “The next morning I had an interview, and I'm like, ‘Yeah, I got Mariah on this record called ‘My Love’ ’ — knowing damn well I hadn't even asked her to get on it. L.A. Reid was like, ‘What the hell is he talking about?’ But they called MC, and she got the record and was like, ‘I fuckin' love it.’ My hunch was right, I just spoke it into existence.”
